VFW Service Office located at US FEDERAL BUILDING CLOSED

Due to the COVID-19 state of emergency declared by State of Michigan and the US Government, the VFW Service Office located at US FEDERAL BUILDING 477 Michigan Ave. RM #1228 Detroit, MI 48226 will be CLOSED to the public as of 3/18/2020. No walk-ins will be possible and VSOs will not be available for interviews.

Please contact (313) 964-6510 for informational recordings or to speak with the switchboard operator. This office is expected to experience disruptions in service for the next several weeks. All VFW field staff have been relocated away from VA medical offices and to approved locations. However, most county veteran service offices are also CLOSED.

Our fax line: (313) 964-6545 is available for use. VA forms and claims packets may be submitted via fax or mailed to us for processing. For expedited processing, please use vfwus.vbadet@va.gov for all digital .PDF documents.

**All judicial hearings with the Board of Veterans' Appeals have been POSTPONED effective 3/17/2020** Notification letters will be mailed to all affected veterans with schedule changes.

Thank you for your patience during this challenging time. Our staff will continue to process your VA claims and respond to your inquiries to the best of our ability with the limited resources available to us.
